I spent last weekend in Boston for one of my best high school friend’s weddings. It was surreal because it was literally the first time I’ve been back since I moved 2 years ago. It was nice running around my old stomping grounds. I even got to show my old girlfriends from Houston, who were there for the wedding too, my old neighborhood- including the bead store where I took my very first jewelry making class! Memories!
After the wedding, which was basically a huge high school reunion (I hadn’t seen some of those people for 10 + years!), I explored the city with my hubby. We headed to the South End Open Market, where I sold my jewels one summer when I was just starting out in bean town. A lot has changed since I used to set up shop there. They have food trucks, an incredible indoor vintage warehouse section, and a fashion truck that is literally a full boutique on a truck! I scored this vintage suitcase that I’ll be using in my display for my upcoming shows and maybe incorporate it into some new photography.
